A tribute to the forestry industry, The Burner is a restaurant and liquor store that used to be a sawmill waste burner in Malaka, BC. It was then disassembled and rebuilt just outside of Sicamous. This place is a real treat…for the eyes and the taste-buds! The 75 feet wide and 75 feet tall building is located in an area that most highway drivers zip past without stopping since the close by town of Sicamous is the popular spot to fuel up on gas and food. However I highly recommend you make time to stop and eat at this place. The burgers are finger-licking good! And that hot sauce of theirs…delicious!
They have a wood burning fireplace and antique forestry equipment on display for your warmth and viewing pleasure.
Sometimes the best spots are those we have driven by many times but never pay attention to. Another reminder to slow down and smell the…burgers 🙂
